Earlier in our site's history, which really wasn't that long ago, we asked you to vote for a Twilight theme song. The winner was Flyleaf's "All Around Me." Since then we have gotten a lot of messages and comment posts thanking Novel Novice for introducing them to Flyleaf. Novel Novice is thrilled with the winning song choice! The lyrics beautifuly fall into place along side the text itself:

Now we are looking for suggestions for theme songs for New Moon! We will take the best song suggestions, add them to our playlist, and open a poll, allowing you to choose the Novel Novice's New Moon theme song! So what are you waiting for? Both are songs from Bella's pov. They deal with the depressions she feels and how she longs to escape the pain.
A real oldie, "Hurts So Bad" by Linda Ronstadt could be from Jacob's pov (if you changed the one "her" to "him", of course....or it could be from Leah's perspective!)

Sorry, I had to find, then post, the lyrics. I heard this song on this past Wednesday's episode of "So You Think You Can Dance (the couple danced a beautiful waltz!), and my mom and I at the same time said, "Hey, that should be in the Twilight movie." So I thought maybe this would be a good song as Bella is running towards Edward on the piazza...And she sings the word 'moon' in it, which is appropriate...If you can find the song and listen to it...Gorgeous. Haunting.

I'm new to the whole Twilight scene, having just read all three books this week. I'm hooked and I love how much fans use music to really "feel" the stories. Talk about kicking it old school... I'm a big fan of Frank Sinatra. I think Edward being as old as he is might appreciate old Blue eyes. Anyway, my vote is for a tune from Edward's POV. It's called "Didn't We?" Please check it out...

(B's depression, realizing that the Cullens are gone, and that they are out of her human reach with the whole metaphor for the Atlantic forming and it being too far to row, and how it's more like a moat, etc... and how she needs Edward to be so much closer)

I personally found that 'A Real Life Fairytale' by Plumb fits so well with the entire series, especially the first book.

I think it shows how Bella was alone, and she was broken from Edward leaving. The song also reminded me of one of Edward's quotes when he left for example the part "I cant see your star" it reminds me of when he is telling Bella she was his meteor...I really think that this describes the period of time that Edward was gone... :) by the way, I love the site...

Sorry. After I read some comments, I too believe Kelly Clarkson's song Haunted would be a VERY great choice. It's such a sad song and and does seem to fit Bella's POV. The only line that probably doesn't work is the "you were smiling", but it's just one line. The rest of the song definitely fits.

I just realized where "Ladies and Gentlemen, We're Floating in Space" would play. It would play at the moment Edward though he'd died and that he was in heaven with Bella.
